Etna is the fifth book by venetian photographer Renato D'Agostin. His gaze on the sicilian volcano  seems to tell us of an alien place, a lunar landscape where shadows and figures move along ineluctable  lines, fumes and mists of Dantesque atmosphere, figures inhabiting a magical world as it is the  ancestral volcano, with thousands of symbolic references. You sense the power that seethes beneath  the unnatural stillness. The book, consisting of 23 black and white photographs printed by D'Agostin in  the darkroom is accompanied by an internal volume with Sequenza e Fuga in 4,6,8 voices, composed  by italian poet Luigi Cerantola. A limited edition of the book is available with vinyl disc containing the  voices of the choir MensanaX directed by Alan Ale Oxandabarat. As in an ancient ritual singing the  chorus seems to evoke, through the poem, the bubbling lava and the subsided rumbling. The music  base, created by italian composer Claudio Sichel brings everything to an atmosphere which seems to  explode from one moment to the next.
